spring walks

Ahhhh - What a beautiful time of year. Besides the few bugs that have found their way into our apartment, it's been a fabulous spring.

Sunday afternoon Brad&I went for a walk and soaked in the sunshine.

And then I tried to make a Tiramisu...

But it sure didn't taste as good as my other versions...much to the disappointment of many mouths. Oh well at least it looked good.

my how time flies

Another Friday and spring must be around because I keep forgetting to write on here.

Yesterday morning walking through the university campus on my usual route I took a double-look at the strangest thing. There are several aquariums and dinosaurs and plants in the geology building and as a I passed the aquariums there was an arm right there - right in the middle of the water. How bizarre...it was a distorted, gross looking arm and kind of shocking. Yuck. No person just the arm. Funny. And then of course I got my Tim Horton's tea with two creams and one sugar.

Ahhhh - How sweet

Ok - so I'm making up for some lost posts...this was just too cute to resist. LOL

10 days and no blog

Well it's the beginning of a long weekend. Yeehaw. Last week I stayed home sick (& exhausted) for three days. And it sure is nicer to be home for fun then for recuperating! Already in the first 3 hours of my holidays. Brad and I have managed to go for a walk, buy an apartment (just kidding, that would be big though!), have a quick bite, and wash the car. Ahhhh beautiful spring.

A couple people have asked me if we're cooking a turkey for Easter. I don't remember having turkey for Easter. I remember hot cross buns, hard-boiled eggs (coloured in neat shades with mom) and our dad's famous hand-drawn clues egg hunt. What are your Easter traditions? Every Easter Sunday morning we would wake up to mom, "He has risen" and we were to respond, "He is risen indeed"! And then miracously out of nowhere we go back into our room and there would be an Easter basket surprise. (or a well loved tupperware with Easter treats)!

Ahhh - Easter.

goodbye VISA

Today I cut up one of the last connections with my maiden name...my VISA card. For some reason it was the only card in my wallet that I hadn't replaced and then it became a special card...my attachment with my "before marriage" last name. Today Brad and I got our new VISA cards (his because it was falling in two). It was a little sad to cut it up and throw it out. Ho Hum.

Garland & Wreaths

Does anyone know someone interested in lots of garland and wreaths?
