Yesterday after work I had a quick errand to run to Michaels. I pulled my car into the stall and parked across from me was a minivan with a boy in the front seat, about 7-9 yrs old. He was motioning with his hands to the minivan parked beside me, which had two boys about the same age, motioning back. Which of course made me giggle. Here are these kids obviously left in their minivans and not allowed to get out while their mom's are running some quick errands. The exchange of motions was great. "hey - use a paper and a pen" first motion...repeated several ways with several gestures.
I went into michaels and totally forgot about these kids (I was trying to remember what was on my mental list of things to pick up at michaels). Well I came out and they were all still there! Hee hee hee...neither set had opened a window or gotten out of their vehicles and this time the two boys (van 2) were holding up a sheet of paper, likely written in pencil cause the one kid (van 1) was having the hardest time reading it, and he didn't have any paper to respond! Hah hah...so funny. I giggled out loud. Ingenuity.
